The word comes from two ultrasound Greek roots, echo (echo) and graphic (a drawing). It is therefore defined as "a drawing by the echo."

Ultrasound Doppler ultrasound is based on (like sonar). It is an examination without radiation and without any danger.

Reception : On arrival in the radiology department, you will submit to the secretariat in order to register your card and your vital support each other.
You wait in the waiting room with the previous reviews in your possession (ultrasound, CT, radiography).

Unfolding :
This examination is conducted by the medical radiologist. Next the body considered, you must be fasting or not. You lie on an examining table and the probe covered with gel, is placed directly on the skin overlying the structure to view.

Results :
The radiologist will give you most often initially result orally. Then, after detailed analysis and interpretation of images, a written report is prepared.
All of your results (report and photos) will be provided within which will be specified by the secretary.

If you so postulation and where possible, you will leave with the results on exam day. You will be asked to wait after the end of the examination.
It will then consult again on the dictating physician who will follow up and monitor your care.
